Laura Mohi x Wild Pilates

Meet Laura Mohi, the founder of Wild Pilates. Originally from Hawke’s Bay, NZ, Laura now resides in Auckland with her partner, Liam. Together, they run an online Pilates studio that allows them to live an adventurous life—splitting their time between New Zealand and overseas filming classes for Wild Pilates. With 13 years of experience as a Pilates instructor and previously owning two Pilates studios in Auckland, Laura is passionate about combining movement and nature in her daily life. She feels immense gratitude for the adventures this lifestyle brings.

Rituals & Inspiration

For Laura, it’s all about the morning routine. As a business owner, there’s always something vying for attention, but carving out this sacred time is how she prioritises herself before diving into the day’s demands.

Her weekday routine begins with waking up at the same time every day, followed by a glass of lemon water and a high-protein smoothie. Next comes movement—always a Wild Pilates class, chosen based on her mood and how her body feels that day—paired with a short outdoor walk, sometimes just 10 minutes. During this time, Laura stays off emails and social media, keeping her focus on her well-being.

Treatment Of Choice

"I love the sauna and ice bath contrast therapy. Simply because I feel so amazing afterwards. There is no other place I feel more relaxed than when I am in the sauna, the beautiful room, the relaxing music, the time away from my phone and the to do list - all of it! Following this with an ice bath really takes it to another level and I truly feel like a different person when I leave."

What Does Feeling Healthy Mean to You?

For Laura, feeling healthy is all about how she feels—her energy levels, stress levels, and overall happiness are key indicators. To maintain her best self, she checks in with the essentials:

~ Am I eating right?

~ Am I moving enough?

~ Am I sleeping well?

~ Am I hydrated?

~ Am I feeling confident?

When something feels off, she makes small adjustments and is continually amazed at how a few healthy changes can transform her well-being.

Its amazing to set goals, but what are you doing in your daily life to help you feel your best? That is what I focus on.
