Face Up Massage: The Natural Lift Your Skin and Nervous System Crave

In a world overflowing with quick-fix beauty trends, Face Up Massage stands apart as a truly holistic approach to skincare and self-care. This deeply restorative treatment combines sculpting techniques with an understanding of the lifestyle, postural, and emotional factors that contribute to visible signs of aging. Known for its ability to tone, de-puff, and rejuvenate - it offers a gentle yet powerful alternative to more invasive options.

Whether you're exploring facial massage as a natural alternative to injectables or simply seeking to weave more intentional practices into your wellness routine, Face Up Massage is a beautiful place to find deeper self love and acceptance for yourself and you rage.

What is a Face Up Massage?

Face Up Massage is a deeply restorative treatment that works beyond the surface. Designed to lift and tone the skin while supporting lymphatic flow, it blends facial massage, myofascial release, and subtle energy work to ease tension in the face, jaw, neck, and shoulders. This thoughtful combination promotes circulation, encourages detoxification, and gently support the nervous system into a state of rest.

The result? A softer, more sculpted glow - and a deep sense of calm that’s felt throughout the entire body.

Key Benefits:

Lifts and sculpts facial contours

Softens fine lines and releases tension

Enhances lymphatic flow and reduces puffiness

Improves circulation and skin vitality

Supports nervous system regulation for a grounded, relaxed state

It’s both an aesthetic treatment and a sensory experience, ideal for those wanting glow from the inside out.

What To Expect During Your First Face Up Treatment

Your first Face Up session begins with a short consultation to understand your needs - whether you're holding tension in your jaw, feeling puffy or fatigued, or simply in need of rest. You’ll then be guided to select your oil, and to settle into a warm, comfortable treatment bed, supported by calming music and soft lighting to help ease you into a parasympathetic state.

The treatment itself is performed on the face, neck, shoulders, and scalp using a blend of slow, sculpting massage, myofascial release, and gentle energy work. Your therapist will work intuitively, following your body’s cues to soften tight areas, stimulate circulation, and promote lymphatic drainage.

At the end of your session, you may be offered light take-home exercises to support continued flow and relaxation, along with a personalised recommendation for how frequently to return, based on your needs and lifestyle.

"Face Up Massage speaks to the heart of what we do at Hana - offering space to slow down, reconnect, and care for the body in a deeply holistic way. So many conventional beauty treatments focus on fixing or altering the face, often without considering the person as a whole. Face Up Massage offers a gentle, supportive alternative - one that works with the body, not against it."

The Somatic Connection: Why This Isn’t Just About Skin

At Hana, we understand that the way you live shows up in your skin. Long hours at a desk, poor posture, scrolling, stress, sleep habits, and even the way you hold your phone can all contribute to tension across the face, neck, and jaw. Add to that the pace of modern life - and it’s no wonder our features begin to feel heavy, drawn, or tight.

Face Up Massage is designed to gently unwind the effects of your everyday environment. From tech-neck to clenched jaws and furrowed brows, this treatment brings awareness and release to areas where modern living leaves its mark.

Using slow, grounding techniques, your therapist gently works with your body to release holding patterns, restore flow, and reconnect you with your natural vitality. Many describe the experience as deeply meditative - a moment to shift out of the mind, return to the body, and fully exhale.
