Also known as:

The Leader

Elements:

FIRE + WATER

About:

Pitta Dosha people generally have medium to athletic body types but can gain weight quickly, often over their entire body or on the bottom half. You probably have soft, warm skin and can get hot quickly. Since Pitta is the fire in the body, it is also easy for you to overheat. However, this fire element aids you with healthy metabolism, good appetite, and digestion. When imbalanced, signs of excess Pitta can manifest in your body as diarrhea, skin irritations, excess sweating, inflammation, and mentally, as a hypercritical or intense mental outlook. Mentally, Pittas are known for being intelligent, powerful, and bright people, with a focused mind that makes it easy for them to succeed. But, with that fantastic drive and natural sense of leadership, you are prone to anger and frustration.

You can also be generally competitive in nature, which can also lead to being competitive and a potential workaholic that is overly ambitious. These are not points of criticism but habits to take note of and use to work toward balance, so you are not overexerting yourself, leading to burnout. Pitta people are a predominant, natural leader that can focus and have excellent clarity, so others often look up to you.

As you move at such an accelerated pace through life, you can find a general sense of frustration with those around you that they don't move as fast as you or take action as much. Sound familiar? It's important not to let this fire, turn into anger, and get the best of you. As much as the fire element drives you and creates this ambition, it can quickly mutate into aggression or frustration when out of balance.
